The Convenient Brindlewood Bay Bundle in a handy handbag size contains two supplements for the TTRPG Brindlewood Bay: The one-shot mystery "A Shot of Coffee" and the rules expansion "Alternative Crowns of the Queen".

A Shot of Coffee: The owner of the Black Cat Café near the Brindlewood Bay marina was found shot dead. Who did it? His son, the hipster barista with big dreams? His customer, the enthusiastic mystery novel author? The dynamic young entrepreneur who wants to buy out the café? Or even the café's cat? The Murder Mavens will surely find out!

Alternative Crowns of the Queen: Collection of 19 alternative "Crowns of the Queen" for more diversity in the biographies of your Murder Mavens. Has been published digitally before and was reworked for the zine edition! Contains practical tips to use them and bonus alternatives for character creation. (An earlier version of the Alternative Crowns in a different format is still available.)

Award-winning!

The physical German version of the bundle won a Special Award in the 2024 Fanzine Contest by System Matters - thank you very much! The jury wrote (translation by Andrea Rick):

Special Award for a concise micro zine: "The Convenient Brindlewood Bay Bundle in a handy handbag size" (Andrea Rick): The two-part zine, connected with a banderole, contains a new mystery for Brindlewood Bay (zine 1) and alternative Crowns of the Queen (zine 2). The short and fun mystery "A Shot of Coffee" invites the Murder Mavens to solve a murder at a café. The alternative Crowns introduce stories from the lives of queer, trans women and nonboinary femmes, anchoring a multifaceted image of women in the game. The hand-colored cover illustrations further enhance the first edition of this zine. Even if such a micro zine is difficult to compare with the longer zines submitted otherwise, we want to reward the successful undertaking of conveying relevant contents in only a few words.

The PDFs

The bundle contains 5 PDFs:

• A Shot of Coffee (one-shot mystery) - foldable zine version + digital version for screen use
• Alternative Crowns of the Queen (rules expansion, zine edition) - foldable zine version + digital version for screen use
• Folding instructions for micro zines (can of course be used for other zines as well)

The illustrations in both zines (cover and 1-2 small illustrations on each spread after folding) invite you to color them yourself (with colored pencils, markers, watercolors, etc. - you can see an example in the photo of the German version on this page).

The zine versions are available as a A4 sheet each, which you can print out and fold into a pocket zine with 8 pages in A7 format. You'll need scissors (or a cutter and a cutting mat).

The digital versions are screenreader-ready with tags, alt-text image descriptions, and clickable links. They're set up for convenient reading on a screen and also work for printing if you want the text on an A4 page and don't want to fold it into a zine.
